By downloading or using PrayScroll, you agree to these terms. Please read them. They're short.
1. What PrayScroll Is
PrayScroll is a prayer-gated app blocker for Android. It helps you replace screen time with prayer through daily journey tracks, AI-assisted prayer generation, and a community prayer wall. The app is operated as an independent digital product.
2. Your Account
PrayScroll uses anonymous authentication only. When you install the app, a random user ID is created on your device. You do not need to provide your name, email, or any other personal information.
Because there is no registered account, you are responsible for your own access. If you uninstall the app, your data and progress are permanently deleted. We cannot recover them.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
PrayScroll requires an active subscription to access core features. Subscriptions are managed through the Google Play Store and processed by Superwall.
- Subscription pricing and available plans are shown at the time of purchase within the app.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- To cancel, manage your subscription through your Google Play account settings.
- Refunds are handled in accordance with Google Play's refund policy. We do not process refunds directly.
4. Acceptable Use and Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content
PrayScroll has zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users. By using PrayScroll, you agree that you will not submit objectionable content and will not behave abusively toward other users. Violating this term will result in your content being removed and your access to the app being terminated.
PrayScroll is a faith-based app built for prayer. You agree not to submit, post, or transmit any content that is:
- Hateful, discriminatory, or demeaning toward any person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other characteristic.
- Abusive, harassing, bullying, threatening, or intended to intimidate or shame any person.
- Sexually explicit, pornographic, obscene, or lewd.
- Violent, or that promotes, glorifies, or incites violence or self-harm.
- Unlawful, or that promotes illegal activity, or that exploits or endangers children in any way.
- Spam, advertising, solicitation, fundraising, or that contains links, phone numbers, or referral schemes.
- Impersonating another person, or knowingly false or deceptive.
- Disclosing private or identifying information about any person without their consent.
You further agree not to harass, abuse, threaten, or otherwise mistreat other users, and not to attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the app or its backend services.
Enforcement. We act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours. Offending content is removed from the app, and the user who submitted it is ejected from the community. Depending on severity, we may remove content, permanently ban the user without notice or refund, and report the matter to law enforcement. Enforcement is at our sole discretion, and we are not obliged to provide a warning, an appeal, or a refund to any user removed for violating this section.
5. Community Prayer Wall
The prayer wall is a space for genuine prayer requests. By submitting a request, you agree that it may be visible to all PrayScroll users, and you agree to our Community Guidelines, which form part of these Terms. Do not include sensitive personal, medical, or identifying information in public prayer requests.
Agreement required. You must accept these Terms and the Community Guidelines before you can post to the prayer wall. Posting content constitutes your ongoing agreement to them.
Content filtering. All prayer requests are screened by an automated content filter before publication. Content that is objectionable — including profanity, hate speech, sexual content, threats, and spam — is rejected at the point of submission and never appears on the wall. Content that receives multiple reports is automatically hidden pending review.
Reporting objectionable content. Every prayer request on the wall can be reported. Tap the more (⋯) button on the request and choose Report. Reported content is hidden from you immediately and is sent to us for review.
Blocking abusive users. You may block any user. Blocking is immediate: all content from that user is removed from your feed instantly and permanently, and they cannot appear in your feed again. Blocking also notifies us so that we may review that user's content for wider removal. You can block a user via the more (⋯) button on any of their prayer requests by choosing Report & Block User.
Our response. We review reports of objectionable content and act within 24 hours by removing the offending content and ejecting the user responsible.
You can delete your own prayer wall submissions at any time from within the app.
6. AI-Generated Prayer
PrayScroll uses DeepSeek to generate intercessory prayer text based on the topics or emotions you select. AI-generated prayers are provided as a starting point for your own prayer life — they are not a substitute for personal prayer, pastoral guidance, or spiritual direction.
We make no guarantee that AI-generated content is theologically complete or suited to your specific situation. Use your own discernment.
7. App Blocking Permissions
To block apps, PrayScroll requires a system-level permission on each platform. On iOS, we use Apple's Screen Time framework (Family Controls); you select which of your own apps to block using Apple's standard picker, and that selection stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. On Android, we use the Accessibility Service solely to detect which app is in the foreground.
On neither platform do we read, record, or transmit screen content, keystrokes, or any other on-screen data. You may revoke this permission at any time in your device settings; doing so disables app blocking but leaves the rest of PrayScroll working. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
All content within PrayScroll — including journey track text, app design, and generated prayers — is the property of PrayScroll or its licensors. You may not copy, redistribute, or commercialise any part of the app's content without written permission.
Scripture quotations used within the app are in the public domain or used under applicable fair use provisions.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
PrayScroll is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs. We are not responsible for any spiritual outcomes, life decisions, or other results arising from your use of the app.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PrayScroll shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data, loss of streaks, or inability to access the service.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of PrayScroll after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We will note the effective date at the top of this page when changes are made.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Any disputes arising from your use of PrayScroll will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece.
